During the cruises to the Pihlajavesi archipelago we get to know the habitat of the Saimaa ringed seal. Juha “Norppa” Taskinen, Elina Enho or Meeri Koivuniemi will tell about the life and conservation of the Saimaa ringed seal with their impressive expertise.

In May, when the seal's hair change is at its peak, they thrive on the shores and islets to dry their fur. Seals usually have their own favorite places where they will lay every spring. In Pihlajavesi archipelago it is possible to see several individuals of ringed seals and baby seals both water and on the rocks. On the cruise, we approach the seal with respect for their habitat and peace.

During the cruises, we get to know the life of Saimaa Norpa in its own habitat, as told by Juha “Norppa” Taskinen, Elina Enho or Meeri Koivuniemi, and a possible sighting of the seal is a happy addition to the cruise program. Daily guides will be updated in the spring.
