One Day Kayaking Tour in Kolovesi National Park

This is a full-service, guided kayaking adventure in Kolovesi National Park. Our paddling guides are trained and they have many years’ guidance and canoeing/ kayaking experience in this area.
The excursion starts from Oravi village where we gear up and get to know each other. Transport from Oravi to Kolovesi with minibus (ca 50 minutes). You can also drive directly to Kolovesi with your own car.
Kolovesi National Park is characterized by wilderness-like landscapes, narrow bays and sounds as well as labyrinthine islands. The length of the paddling route depends on the wind and the paddling skills of the participants. During the trip we have a picnic lunch. On the hottest days we can dive into the refreshing waves of Lake Saimaa. The trip is done with double or single kayaks.
Itinerary
11.45 Meeting in Oravi, gear up + packing.
12 Transport by minibus to Kolovesi
13 Meeting in Kolovesi Kirkkoranta. Packing and safety check. The paddling tour starts.
Paddling in Kolovesi enjoying the peace and quiet of the national park. We stop for an outdoor lunch. The guide chooses the best route of the day depending on weather conditions, speed and places of intrest.
ca. 17.30-18 Return to Kirkkoranta. Minibus back to Oravi.
ca 19 The tour ends in Oravi.

The Trip is done when there is minimum of 4 passengers. If the minimum group size of 4 people is not reached we will refund the payment 100%.
All participats should be able to swim and be familiar with being in water. Previous paddling experience is not required but recommended. If you have no previous paddling experience we recommend that you first attend our beginners tour in Oravi on Mondays or any similar tour.
Essentials to pack for an activity
Outdoor gear suitable for the days weather. Take also extra clothes in plastic bag incase you get wet. Sunscreen and hat on sunny days. Water bottle.
