Description
Linlo is the perfect place to escape and forget your watch for a day. The island's highest point is culminating at 32 meters above sea level. Maybe not the most impressive elevation, but still a nice and natural scenic view from the top. The island stretches 1.5 kilometers from north to south, and almost 1 kilometer in an east-west direction. But going around it, can easily take up to 8 kilometers.
The clock that spins in front of Stockmann's main doors is a Helsinki institution. And a good reason to start our journey from here! We will drive about 40 minutes towards west.
We will be heading for an adventure around the island of Linlo. There we will enjoy walking through the forest and the coast, with authentic maritime atmosphere, but without a boat! We will discover some beautiful geological rock formations like an overhanging cliff, erratic boulders and a whaleback.
After the tour, you will be transported close to starting point, at Kalevankatu.
Itinerary
09:00- Pick up: Stockmann, Aleksanterinkatu 52, 00100 Helsinki
09:45-11:45: Linlo West tour, 4 km, Linlontie 133, 02480 Kirkkonummi
11:45-12:45: Lunch at Lagoon barbecue hut
12:45-13:45: Linlo Whaleback tour, 2 km
14:30: End of activity and drop off at Kalevankatu, 00100 Helsinki

Please note
Have the capacity to walk 6-8 kilometers in 4 hours, in a natural terrain.
Kindly note that the tour can be cancelled for safety reasons, if the weather is too bad. In that case, an alternative will be offered to you.
Essentials to pack for an activity
Outdoor clothing according to the weather and the temperatures.
Proper hiking/walking shoes recommended.
Backpack with a water bottle and a little snack (chocolate, protein bar…)
