Sightseeing safari to the main island of Linnansaari National Park. During this guided safari we'll drive through the national park, hike up to Linnavuori hill and visit the museum croft area. Safaris are done from May until October.

Description
Linnansaari National Park Safari
Sightseeing safari with open boat / boats to the main island of Linnansaari National Park. The captain will drive you through the beautiful labyrinth of islands. We'll land on the main island and hike up to the Linnanvuori to watch the beautiful view. Later we'll walk to the crofter's cottage ca. 600m from the boat jetty. At the croft the guide will introduce you the slash and burn sites and the traditional life of the crofters 100 years ago. Coffee break on the Linnansaari island is included in the price.
Duration 3 hours (+ optional picnic lunch by the fire circa 1h).
The trips are made in three different seasons: SPRING, SUMMER AND AUTUMN. Each season has its own characteristics and a lot to offer. In spring you can enjoy the awakening forest nature and bird song. In summer the lake water is warm and the flowers are blooming on the meadows in Linnansaari. In autumn we enjoy the crisp weather, autumn colors, mushroom- and berrypicking.

The boat is equipped with life jackets. Rain gear or warm overalls are availabel if you start the trip from Oravi.
Starting place: Oravi harbour. If you are staying at one of our villas (Oravi villas, Lakeside villas), we'll pick you up directly from your villa.

Please note
GOOD TO KNOW: On our lake safaris we travel with safe and fast aluminum boats that are able to land even on the rocky islands. We also have a catamaran with bow visor for easy access. All our boat drivers are experienced lake nature guides. If you need an accessible boat please let us know beforehand.
