Description
A thousand years ago, Finland lived its Iron Age, the mythical Viking Age. You can experience an amazingly authentic time trip to this period in the Viking Village in Rosala, a visitor’s centre that materialises times past.
The Viking Museum consists of not only informative exhibitions, but also an entire reconstructed Viking village, where you can invision yourself in the Viking Age. Play varpa, try on a Viking warriors outfit or relax in our cafe - the Viking Centre has something for all!

Please note
The visit usually takes 1-2 hours, but you can of course explore the Viking village for longer until the closing time.
The yard of the Viking village consist of lawn. Some of the buildings are located on top of a cliff, and require climbing along paths and stairs.
Food and drinks are not included, but the Viking Centre's cafe is open. Nearest grocery shop is 8 km away. The other cafes and restaurants on the islands are 2,5-9 km away and open mainly during the summer.
The Viking Centre is located on the island of Rosala in Kemiönsaari, Southwestern Finland. You can get to the island by a free ferry from Kasnäs, about 100 km from Turku or 200 km from Helsinki. See ferry timetable on Finferries site.
