Description
During this safari, you get the basic skills to drive the snowmobile. Before the start, your guide gives you a full safety briefing and instructions on how to drive. After the ‘lesson’ you start driving through the stunning snowy forest. You will also have a break with hot drink and a sweet pastry.
The activities are open departures and program will be done if minimum 4 persons is joining. We will notify you at the latest by 3 p.m. the day before if the program is cancelled.

Included
- Activities are guided and include all necessary gear and winter outfit.
- Adult on shared snowmobile = Two persons sitting on the snowmobile. Another is a driver, another is a passenger. You can swop driver on the way. There needs to be two persons in your party when you choose this rate. Then you won´t share snowmobile with a stranger.
- One adult on snowmobile ( single driving ) = No passenger. You will drive the snowmobile for the whole duration of the trip.
Please note
- Driving licence is required for driving a snowmobile
- Minimum length 140 cm when sitting on snowmobile (feet need to reach firmly until side board)
- For safety reasons minimum age for this activity is 5 years. For smaller children (3 - 4 years) we recommend to join ice fishing, reindeer farm visit or husky visit.
- Snowmobile introduction is the only snowmobile activity where children under 140 cm (over 5 - 11 years) travel safely on the sledge with an adult, this adult needs to be from your own party. Sledge is behind the guide´s snowmobile. Please contact to sales@rukasafaris.fi before booking if you have a child with you who will be seated in the sleigh, we will check the situation if there is places available.
