Year of the Reindeer - farm visit
On our tour you can see the reindeer up close, feed them and learn about their and reindeer peoples life
1 hour and 30 minutes
This traditional and thousands of years old trade has remained nearly unchanged and is still commonly practiced in Lapland. The animals are well accustomed to the hard weather in the north and reindeer husbandry operates fully according to a cycle dictated by nature. For example, in summer most of the reindeer do not spend time at the farm but head out to the wilderness, where they herd in their most natural habitat. In snow-heavy winters the reindeer may need help with feeding.
