Korouoma Nature reserve is one of a kind destination in Finland. We would like to take you on a whole day outdoor adventure and tell you stories about why Korouoma is a nature reserve and show you the special features this destination has to offer. Korouoma Nature reserve is a legendary ice climbing destination also and you are able to do ice climbing at one of the ice falls in the unique valley. We will start the outdoor adventure day from Ruka Ski resort and drive for about 1,5 hours to the Nature reserve. 

There is no light pollution, just pure natural light and a wonderful winter wonderland is waiting for us! We enjoy the day in a relaxed past and have a nice slow adventure in the winter wonderland. The ice climbing is suitable for persons that have a good physical condition and are looking for a great new winter experience, as well as to someone who want to test their limits in arctic conditions or just want to have a try, at Finland's legendary ice climbing sights, in a safe manner. We will hike a trail around the valley, try ice climbing and enjoy the Korouoma scenaries. You will hear stories about local nature and learn about ice climbing. A professional climbing instructor will guide you to, on and at the Korouoma ice sights and surrounding. You will have full introduction and guidance on every stage. Before you know, you have spent a whole day to this program! A nice camp fire with delicious wraps and some sweets are included, as well as warm juice during the day. 

All climbing and outdoor equipment and safety gear are checked and packed before departure in Ruka. We return to Ruka in the evening. We recommend you have a good breakfast before departure and take some snacks with you. 

Program duration is approx 10 hours. Min. age: 16 yrs or strong enough to climb and stay outdoors in our arctic winter wonderland the whole day.
