Lahti Harbour

City Life

It is nice to spend a summer day at Lahti Harbour. Its restaurants, boat restaurants and cafes with sunny terraces are a 'must' for a visitor. The harbour is located only 10-15 minutes by foot from the city center. In addition to restaurants, the harbour area houses, Handicraft Shop, Sibelius Hall, and modern piece of wood architecture. Wood architecture you can find also in Wood Architecture Park in the surroundings of Sibelius Hall and the harbour.

History & Architecture

The impressive wooden concert and congress centre was built on the Vesijärvi waterfront in spring 2000. Sibelius Hall combines industrial history with modern, wooden architecture. Its beautiful Main Hall is known internationally for its excellent acoustics. A masterpiece of modern wood architecture, combining the historic carpentry factory with modern architecture.

Sport Centre

Outdoor & Sports

Internationally known Lahti Sports Centre is the heart of a ski games. At the sports centre are located ski jump towers, restaurant, ice hockey arena, ski museum, outdoor swimming pool and much more. During the winter time on the area is ski trails and during the summer outdoor hiking trails. The ski jump tower observation deck is open for public during the summer and during the winter open by request. In addition to being a world-renowned arena for winter events, the Lahti Sports Centre is one of the town’s most fascinating tourist attraction.
