You can start this themed route either from the end or as mentioned, whatever fits your own schedule. The journey takes place from Noormarkku ironworks, through the villages of Leineperi, Kauttua, Teijo to Taalintehdas. The distance in one direction is about 260 km when following the straightest road. There are many cafés and restaurants along the ironwork routes, where you can sample locally produced delicacies. Historic ironworks environments and local food go well together.

Siida’s exhibitions provide a cultural experience for all the senses. Perhaps it is the most traditional road trip in Lapland, which heads along the E75 highway northwards from Rovaniemi towards the North Cape. This time the trip is taken entirely in Finland, from southern Lapland up to the rugged fell highlands of Utsjoki and the Tenojoki River. Saariselkä, Utsjoki and Inari are great destinations for staying overnight on the trip. In Rovaniemi at Arktikum and in Inari at Siida, visitors are taken on a journey to experience the culture of the northern regions and the indigenous Sámi.

East Lapland is an unexplored area for many, but in recent years the popularity of the eastern parts of Lapland has increased – and indeed not without reason! The eastern tour leads you from the town of Rovaniemi along the breathtaking so-called Landscape Road via Posio to Ruka, and from there you can return to Rovaniemi via Kemijärvi. Along the way you will discover fantastic nature sites, culture, quaint little villages, and stunning landscapes!

Keitele is one of the biggest lakes in Finland. Start your trip by arriving to the cultural town of Jyväskylä, where you will stay your first night. Follow the designed path. The next recommended accommodation is between Laukaa and Äänekoski, where you will experience pure nature, local sauna and gastronomy in one place. Before getting to Salamanjärvi National Park, visit the small villages of Viitasaari, Pihtipudas, Kinnula and Kivijärvi.

Resorts of Pyhä and Luosto with city of Rovaniemi at Arctic Circle is ideal combination to get most out Lapland when time for a visit is limited. This route for families covers the areas of Southwest Finland and Satakunta. You can go through all the destinations or choose the ones you like best ort fit to your schedule. The route can also be done in any order. Highlights include Moomin World in Naantali, Koivuniemi Lord's MuuMaa Merikarvia, Rosala Viking Center and various activity parks in both Pori Yyteri and Turku.

Lake Päijänne is the second largest lake in Finland. It is surrounded by rural landscape, idyllic towns and many islands. You can drive your way around the lake either clockwise or as recommended. Start your journey from Lahti and reach Jyväskylä in a day or two. You will drive past some of the most beautiful sceneries and landscapes in southern Finland. We have created this exciting route following the National parks of Päijänne, Leivonmäki, Konnevesi, Pyhä-Häkki and Salamanjärvi! You can also choose to start the trip from Salamanjärvi and drive direction south. For this route, you are going to be able to change it in the way you also like, but don't forget, to stay brave, visit all the National Park, take it as a challange!

The mighty Saana fell in Kilpisjärvi is something to every Finn experiences at least once in a lifetime. However, many of them return over and over again. On a car trip from Rovaniemi towards the Arm of Finland, there are plenty of quaint villages and tourist attractions where you can stop for a little break. On your way there you can choose the route that travels via Levi and Muonio to Kilpisjärvi, with the return trip following the western border of Lapland along the great rivers Tornionjoki and Muonionjoki.
