Muurame Golf

Muurame Golf is located in the lively municipality of Muurame in varied Central Finnish terrain. The 18-hole course is designed by Lassi Pekka Tilander. The design takes full advantage of the shape of the terrain. The course provides a good challenge for players of all levels. Every player is always equally welcome to their course. They are proud of their positive, easy-going atmosphere. Working together for a common goal is part of their course culture.

Muurame Church

History & Architecture

Designed by Alvar Aalto, the church building representing the classic period is from 1929. Renovated back to its original style in 2016. Muurame Church was completed in 1929 according to the design of Alvar Aalto. The influence of his honeymoon to Italy can be seen in the church: the Campanile-style bell tower, the small windows placed high, the loggia in the wing, the colours of the church and the wall surrounding the church. Architecturally the church represents Nordic classicism.

Kivitasku

Kivitasku is a unique, memorable place, rich in atmosphere, located in a rural lakeside milieu in Muurame, Central Finland. The blue log building, Villa Kivitasku, is a party venue like no other. It provides a peaceful place for relaxation, celebrations and conferences. Villa Kivitasku accommodates about 60 people. You can choose from a wide range of delicious foods from our partners for your festive occasion or organize your own catering. Built from aspen logs, the atmospheric Haikusauna of Kivitasku is also a one-of-a-kind experience.

Aallotar Swimming Pool and Gym

History & Architecture

Fully renovated in 2015, the public indoor swimming pool and gym of Muurame is located only 15 km away from Jyväskylä. There is a 25 m fitness swimming pool with four tracks and exceptionally warm water (+28 degrees) and a 6 x 7 m children’s pool where the water temperature is +31 degrees. The fitness pool is 1.2–1.8 m deep and the children’s pool deepens gradually from 0–0.8 m. The facility organizes instructed water aerobics, water groups for children and swimming instruction for both children and adults.
