Virolahti
The South-Easternmost Corner of Finland
Virolahti has a high-quality setting for golfing, geocaching, and mountain biking. The sheds along the Salpapolku invite you for a treat by the campfire, and at the Virolahti Bunker Museum, which served as a defensive station during the war, you can learn about the history of fortifying the eastern land border. The Nature Center, established in connection with the bunker museum with the Green Belt project, provides visitors with information about nature and the environment through virtual reality. You can also stay overnight in the bunker at the Bunker Museum.
In addition to education and various events in the field of natural resources, the Harju Learning Center in Virolahti organizes comprehensive program services, such as guided walking tours, horse-drawn carriage rides, rock descents, offroad rides, and much more.
