Raseborg is perfect for a day trip, but in order to get the full experience, we recommend that you stay the night or maybe a whole week. Rent a cottage and enjoy the summer markets, the sights of the archipelago, and glorious sunsets. If you are looking for events and activities there are plenty to choose from.

Raseborg can be reached by car, bus, train or boat. When you are on your way to us, remember there is no bus or train station called Raseborg. If you are looking for transport schedules on different web services or your GPS, please enter a specific town located in Raseborg, for example Karis, Ekenäs or Fiskars. Some services may work better with Finnish names, for example Karjaa or Tammisaari.

Fiskars Village

This award winning destination is truly a destination for all the senses. Fiskars Village, founded in the 17th century, is known today as the centre of Finnish art and design. High quality restaurants, conference and hotel facilities, as well as various workshops, events and shops offer the visitors plenty to see and do throughout the year. The village is surrounded by stunning nature with shorter hiking trails and over 60 km MTB bike trails.

Ekenäs Old Town

History & Architecture

Ekenäs Old Town with its wooden houses spreads out to the seashore. The street names tell the story of the life of the townspeople and how they got along hundreds of years ago. Here, the streets have stayed the same since the 16th century. Street names such as the Hatter's Street (Hattmakaregatan), Linen Weaver's Street (Linvävaregatan), Cloth Weaver's Street (Handskmakaregatan), Smith's Street (Smedsgatan) and Tanner's Street (Garvaregatan) reveal that Barcken's peninsula in Ekenäs once was populated by skillful craftsmen.

Ekenäs National Park

Wildlife & Nature

Ekenäs Archipelago National Park stretches from the inner archipelago to the open sea. Almost 90 % of the park consists of water areas and so the park preserves the nature both above as well as under the water. During summer, the Ekenäs archipelago is popular among sailors and motor boaters, as well as canoeists. There are things to see also for the divers almost all year round. The varying forms of the seabed and shipwrecks offer experiences below the surface. The islands Fladalandet, Modermagan, Älgö and Jussarö are pleasing destinations.

Raseborg Castle Ruins

History & Architecture

Roam the Knight's Hall and the solars, live the part of a soldier in the hallways with loopholes, and admire the scenery from the vantage point. Raseborg medieval castle is one of the most grand castle ruins in Finland. It tells the story of the fascinating Middle Ages, when Finland was part of the Swedish kingdom. The life in Raseborg didn't stay the same; the castle was used as an administrative centre, but also hosted the glamorous everyday life of the court.

Mustio Manor

Svartå Manor is one of the most precious manor houses in Finland with a history of more than two hundred years. Nowadays the manor house is a museum, and the interior is restored to its original state with its different tiled stoves, Gustavian furniture and of course the original parquet floors.The manors award winning restaurant, the hotel in the area, saunas, and some of the finest and most unique conference facilities in Finland makes the manor a high quality event and wedding venue.
