Vihti is a 45-minute drive from Helsinki, at the intersection of the Turku Motorway, Porintie, and Hanko-Hyvinkää Road. Vihti is a vast area consisting of several singular vibrant villages, each with its own history. Nuuksio National Park, Nummelanharju, and other outdoor areas, as well as skiing, kayaking, and cycling trails, numerous lakes, and beaches, make time fly in Vihti. There are great facilities for activities e.g. a ski resort, golf courses, frisbee golf courses, fitness centers, dance halls, go-kart track, swimming pool, tennis, football, ice and bowling alley, and recreational aviation court. Vihti is also one of Finland's most notable horse keepers and there are numerous horse stables.

Vihti is a place for nature adventure. Start the trip to the national park from Nuuksio´s Northern Gate in the Salmi recreational area or explore the Pääkslahti nature trail, Palakoski outdoor area, Rokokallio, Kokkokallio, Konianvuori or Nummela wetlands.

Children’s top destinations are undoubtedly PuuhaPark and Vihti Ski. Visit Hennola Domestic Animal Farm for petting cute animals, shop ecologically at the Globe Hope factory outlet and stay in the area’s diverse types of accommodations.

Visit the Art Garden and Gallery of the artist Maaria Marja Melin. Come to see how the art is born or take part in a therapeutic art trip. The renowned Exhibition Space Galleria Pictor presents art in a funk-style building. The Vihti Museum and the Ruins of the Church of St. Birgit are attractions worth visiting. The Salmela Museum presents the life of the former horse farm over several centuries. The Vihti Summer Theater has been attracting visitors for 50 years entertaining the audience even in rainy weather.

The Nummela Gateway Wetland Park was built in honor of the UN’s Year of Biodiversity in 2010. The wetland park is located at the mouth of the catchment area, which is a diverse area for animals and local people. The wetland park was named “Nummela Gate” because it is located nearby the highway from Helsinki to Nummela. The Nummela Niittu pilot wetland was built in 2013. The word “Niittu” is a local dialect and means meadow.
