Finland's wild northwesternmost corner, known as “the Arm” (Finnish: Käsivarsi)”, offers the most mountainous scenery in the whole of Finnish Lapland. Halti Fell, the highest peak of Finland (1328 m), can be reached on electric fatbike in April, when the crust usually makes the snow rideable. It takes some 55 kms of cycling to reach the top of Halti from the tour's starting point, Kilpisjärvi village. This might not appear a huge distance, but the Arctic conditions and the gentle-yet-long ups and downs make it a proper challenge. The route across the endless snowfields follows a snowmobile track. This is a safe once-a-lifetime trip for the adventurous traveler not afraid for the physical effort!

- Time schedule allowing, an optional visit to the Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre for Nature (independently)

- The Arctic e-Fatbike Challenge starts in the morning
- First day we will ride across several frozen fell lakes where the icy deck can be over 100 cm thick
- In Käsivarsi Wilderness Area route crosses over national borders (no passport required), a complimentary though brief visit in Norway, that is ;)
- Lunch at Saarijärvi Wilderness Hut near the Norwegian border
- Overnight stay in Kuonjarjoki Wilderness Hut

- After Kuonjarjoki the route takes the cyclist over the wild fell highlands where in visibility can reach close to 100 kms
- Lunch at Meekonjärvi Wilderness Hut
- Along the way, we will visit the Pihtsusköngäs Falls, which are 17 meters high (and frozen by that time), a distinctive nature's formation in the area
- Overnight stay in Pihtsusjärvi Wilderness Hut

- Route starts to ascend towards to Halti Fell
- Lunch at Halti Wilderness Hut
- In the afternoon, we will try reach to the highest point in Finland, 1328 metres above sea-level, on e-fatbikes (without touring pulks)
- Overnight stay in Halti Wilderness Hut

- In the morning, there is another change to attempt to the top, if it was not possible the day before
- Afterwards, we will start to descent the same route back
- Lunch at Meekonjärvi Wilderness Hut
- In the afternoon, guided wilderness skiing day tour (without touring pulks and fatbikes)
- Overnight stay in Meekonjärvi Wilderness Hut

- Today we will be first cycling (15 km) and after lunch skiing (5 km)
- Luch at Kuonjarjoki Wilderness Hut
- Wilderness skiing through the breathtaking Salmikuru gorge until Termisjärvi (electric fatbike will be tied into your touring pulk)
- Overnight stay in Termisjärvi Wilderness Hut

- Route descents from the wild fell highlands back to the village of Kilpisjärvi
- Lunch along the way to Kilpisjärvi
- Arrival back to Kilpisjärvi and equipment maintenance
- Accommodation check-in
- Sauna on the shore of Lake Kilpisjärvi. Chance to try ice swimming.
- The Arctic E-Fatbike Challenge Completion Dinner

Minimum height of 155 cm for the smallest electric fatbike (size S).
Please note, that a standard adventurer's set on Halti e-fatbike trail in Lapland is a premium e-fatbike and an personal sled attached to it. The agile sled contains the rider's sleeping bag, food, etc. items. How ever, depending on terrain, group size, snow conditions or other solid reasons, the set up also could be different regarding to sled. Bliss adventure guide will always use his or her best judgement to keep the exploring smooth, beautifully strenuous!
Although Finland has a broad network for mobile phones, there are many areas in the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area without a proper coverage.
Kindly note that 10% of the price of your tour is non-refundable. The 10% will be used to cover fees connected to your booking such as credit card transactions and other administrative charges. Refunds will only be issued to the card used to purchase the tour.

Participants must arrive prepared with suitable clothing for cold, changeable weather. Layers required. Please note that weather conditions change very quickly. A detailed clothing and equipment list will be sent to you when you book your trip. All personal clothing and equipment should fit into 50 liter waterproof duffel bag.
