Rymättylä allows you to enjoy the beauty of the archipelago by car, bicycle, motorbike and boat. You can also admire the scenery from the lookout tower on Karhuvuori in Aasla. Shops and other services are found in the centre of the village. The central market square hosts a market on summer Saturdays. Take a dip in the sea at Kirkkolahti beach, which also has a playground with climbing frames.

The diverse ironworks village of Taalintehdas has many faces. If you miss the hustle and bustle of people, visit the market on summer Wednesdays or Saturdays. If you enjoy the outdoors, walk along the long trees over the bog of Lilla Masugnsträsket Lake and continue to the Senatsberget observation tower. Local humor thrives in the name of the village’s historic buildings.

Two beautiful islands in the outer archipelago connected by a small bridge and a common history. The Vikings sailed here on Idäntie, which is an ancient trade route. Today, also along the road, you can get to the market place from the Viking-era. Hiittinen Church is one of the oldest and most beautiful wooden churches in Finland with its surrounding stone walls, and is definitely worth a visit. The perfect destination to connect into the *Coastal Route*: beach at Hittite and cycle 9 km to Rosala or vice versa!

Finland's southernmost tourist destination: the tallest lighthouse in the Nordic region with its dramatic history, surrounded by beautiful nature. Here the sea meets the sky. A rugged granite lighthouse looks far over the sea. The atmosphere upstairs in the lighthouse tower is unique and worth visiting on site. In Bengtskär, visitors are served by a café serving archipelago flavors, a souvenir shop and a lighthouse chapel. Alternatively stay at the lighthouse for a longer time, there is an accommodation and meeting facilities and a sauna!

Houtskär is a part of the Archipelago Biosphere Reserve and a part of Houtskär is in the Archipelago Sea National Park area.

Iniö is a small municipality, but it has a shore line of 700 kilometers in length. Iniö also consists of over 1000 islets and skerries and out of all these islets only 10 are inhabited all year round. Iniö has 194 inhabitants but in the summer this number multiplies. Summer is peak season, that is when you get to enjoy the beautiful shimmering sea and the shining sun, but also spring, autumn and winter has its charm out in the archipelago.
